Oh dear, how tempting is this...? For me, very... Anyway, mostly moved into my new flat and held a small dinner party last night before my new desk arrives tomorrow. Delicious Turkey Stroganoff which seemed to be well liked by all the participants. I'm almost fully moved into my new place and only really waiting for the desk and my internet connection so I can move my PCs over... After the wonderful fun I've had with Sky I'm obviously not gonna use them ever again and have instead decided to go with Be. Let's see how good/bad they are.. Tags: food, moving

As if Sky wasn't already the worst ISP I've ever had the mis-fortune of signing up with, they have now hijacked my e-mail! No seriously. No wonder a few people was wondering why I wasn't replying to e-mail. So, when you send e-mail, your message goes to a server that sends it on to it's destination. An e-mail will normally contain: Your message Who sent it Who it's being sent to Where replies should be sent It's the last bit where Sky has decided that all e-mail should be sent to them regardless of where you want it sent to! Obviously I would rather it gets sent to the e-mail address I've been using for the past 8 years rather than their shitty Gmail mailbox! If all the other trouble I've had with Sky wasn't enough (They don't keep promises, they lie outright, connections will sometimes drop), they now do this without telling anyone that they've done it. So, once again, if I haven't mentioned it before, don't choose SKY as your ISP! On a brighter note, I may have found a new place to live at the end of Inverness Street... Oh yeah, and which ISP would you recommend? I will be needing one with no download limits and preferably 20mb+ speed... Tags: moving, sky

Warhammer: Age of Reckoning has been postponed to Autumn 2008 D: Much woe, wailing and gnashing of teeth... I've been looking forwards to this game since, well, since before it was even announced... All the way back in 1998 when Ultima Oncrack/Evercrack/whatever came out I knew that one day, one day, the world of Warhammer would become available. I'm sure ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) digitalangel remembers how I was drooling over the teaser trailer in spring '06 before details of the game came out. And oh, how tantalizingly close it is now... I have booked all my important holidays and I should have enough left to take a week off when W:AR is finally released. And of course there will be a Collectors Edition, oh yes, there will be... I've pre-ordered two on-line and I'll be going to a couple of shops to pre-order as well so I can be reasonably sure that I'll get at least one. Anyway, in slightly happier news, I finally dinged 70. After 20 days actual time played. So, now I can do all the cool end-game stuff ^_^ Such as grinding out 10k gold so I can buy some flying mounts. Yay /wrists Well, at least until Warhammer: Age of Reckoning comes out and steals me away from WoW... Tags: warhammer, wow

So, I ordered a keyboard and got the wrong one. They apologised and sent a new one which was exactly the same wrong keyboard... And today I got a parcel from Play.com... I'm sure you can guess what comes next... Yup, that's right, for the 3rd time they've sent me the wrong keyboard. Well, at least they're consistent, it's the same wrong keyboard they've sent me each time ^_^ Oh well, time to call them and get a 4th keyboard I guess... Tags: play.com

So, Last week I got a keyboard from Play.Com and they sent me the wrong keyboard. As was pointed out, it was an easy mistake to make as the two keyboards are almost identical, and I will happily concede that. However, when they then send me exactly the same wrong keyboard a 2nd time I start getting a little bit upset. /sigh /wrist Who knows, maybe it will be 3rd time lucky... But I somehow doubt it...
